Browser and Browser Version

We’ve added two new columns allowing you access to more detailed information about the browsers used by visitors to your site. The new 'browser' column includes Google Chrome and Apple Safari as separate browser types and 'browser version' is now split out into a new column making it easier to report on the type of browser used.

Where?

All reports with the ‘User’ group folder:

- Visit Performance

- Sale/Action Performance

- Page Detail

- Custom Parameters

Change the Perspective of Your Conversion Rules

Upgrades to StormAnalytics

We have begun making upgrades to the StormAnalytics suite in our beta interface. You will notice a few visual changes and some small changes to functionality. Some of the additional functionality includes:

- Cancel reports from running

- Toggle filters on and off

The most notable piece of new functionality is that you are now required to select an agency and site first when running a new report. The reason behind this change is due to custom fields. More and more clients have started to utilise custom columns which are site specific. As a result, we have upgraded the reporting interface to support this more efficiently. We’ll be keeping you updated on the upgrades to analytics in the coming weeks.

If you haven’t already checked out custom columns then click here to find out how you can start creating additional columns within Storm.

Version 1 Storm Tracking

Version 1 Storm tracking is now being phased out, and replaced with the more robust version 2 tracking. You will now no longer be able to see the version 1 tracking tag in the Site Admin interface and it will no longer be supported.

The tracking will still work but if any clients are still using version 1 we advise upgrading to version 2 immediately.

Custom Columns Rolled Out to More Data Views

You are now able to create custom columns for the following data views:

- Landing Performance

- Sale Action Performance

- Visit Performance

New Data Ranges

There are now four new date ranges available in StormIQ:

- Last 7 days excluding yesterday

- Last 14 days excluding yesterday

- Last 21 days excluding yesterday

- Last 28 days excluding yesterday

This means it will display data from say the last 7 consecutive days with the last day being the day before yesterday.

Why are these useful?

Affiliate users of Storm will find these date ranges especially useful. Affiliate networks vary in the time that commission data is made available and so complete data for yesterday is not always available.

To ensure that PPC campaigns are being optimized correctly, it’s important to know that this data is complete – these new date ranges allow optimization to take place with 1, 2, 3 and 4 weeks of complete data.
